Abstract

To study the superconductivity of LiF eAs due to incipient band the suitable Hamiltonian was formulated using the free and localized electrons, the electron-electron interaction through fermion exchange and the interaction term between free electro and localized electron due to incipient band. The formulation of Hamiltonian was invited us to derive the EOM for the entire system. Using the EOM we have theoretically calculated both the superconducting energy gap Δ(0) and transition temperature Tc which are including magnetic order parameter ϑ. As we are concerning a pure superconductor to approximate Δ(0) and Tc, the McMillan’s formula has been adopted. As a result we have theoretically calculated the value of critical temperature to be 17.37K and the superconducting energy gap to be 4.5mev. Theoretically calculated values were come into comparison with the experimental value and finally we conclude that in a well established system electron pairing due to incipient band can possibly enhance superconductivity of materials.
