Abstract

Construction Continuity Indicates The Ability Of An Organization To Perform Under All Conditions. This Continuity Can Be Achieved Through Planning That Consist Risk Management And Procedures For Preventing Interruptions (Mitigating Disruptions To Operations). In Other Definition It Is Preparedness Of The Construction Industry During A Disaster Time For Running The Organizational Activities In Proper Manner. Construction Continuity Management Strategy Is Essential For Continuation Of The Construction Sector And Every Construction Sector Has To Have This As A Major Part Of All Work. The Objective Of The Study Is To Assess The Factors Affecting Construction Continuity, To Analyze The Impacts Caused By Failure In Achievement Of Construction Continuity, To Assess The Methods To Overcome Factors Affecting The Construction Continuity And To Investigate Practice Of Construction Continuity Management Program. The Studies On Construction Continuity Management Area Are Not Enough For The Readers. Study Area Of The Research Was Ethiopian Construction Authority, Adama City Construction Administration Authority, Oromia Construction Cooperatives, And Arsi Zone Construction Authority. The Sample Size Is Finite Population. The Sampling Technique For The Study Is Non-Probability Sampling Which Is Purposive Sampling Technique. This Technique Is Useful For The Researcher To Select A Sample Using Their Expertise That Is Useful For The Research And To Gain Detailed Knowledge About A Specific Phenomenon. Data Collected Through Questionnaire And Interview Analyzed Using Severity Index Method. Factors Affecting Construction Continuity Management Are Lack Of Awareness, Pandemic, Lack Of Cc Plan And Management Concern. The Highest Value Of Impact Of Factors Using Si Value Is Construction Continuity Plan And Risk Analysis Which Is =100%,2nd Highest Value Is 93.75% Which Is Organizational Alertness And Preparedness, 3rdvalue For Rate Impact Of Factors Is 87.5% Training And Awareness. Generally The Researcher Recommend For The Government A Series Governmental Focus On Continuity, Devising The Manufacturing Industry Of Construction Material, Increase And Motivate Innovation Of Construction Materials And Give Financial Support, Governmental Decision Making On Material Cost, Know Demand And Supply For Devising For Regional Requirement, And For The Stake Holders Prepare Continuity Plan, Risk Analysis, Prepare Continuity Strategies ,Know Roles And Responsibilities And Give Training And Awareness On Continuity.
