Abstract

This Research Study Focuses On The Development Of A GIS-Based Street Addressing System To address The Challenges Posed By The Lack Of A Robust And Efficient Street Addressing System in Adama City, Which Has Been Exacerbated By Rapid Urban Expansion And Population growth. The Absence Of Standardized Labeling Or Coding For Roads And Parcels Hinders effective Service Delivery And Makes It Challenging To Locate Specific Addresses. The Research objective Is To Enhance Service Area Analysis In Bole Sub City, Adama, Through The development Of A GIS- Based Street Addressing System. The Methodology Involved Data collection, Street Codification, Address Assignment, GIS Geo database Design, Service Area identification, And Address Point Placement. The Research Findings Demonstrate The successful Implementation Of Standardized Parcel And Street Codification, Routing Analysis, Geo database Design And Implementation, And Address Point Geocoding Techniques. The results Highlight The Significance Of The Implemented Spatial Analysis Techniques, Including the Parcel Codification System, GIS-Based Street Addressing System, Route Analysis, Routing analysis, And Service Area Analysis, In Improving Service Delivery, Navigation, Resource allocation, Competitive Analysis, And Decision-Making Processes. These Findings Contribute to The Understanding And Application Of Spatial Analysis Techniques In Adama City's Bolesub City, Addressing The Existing Gap In Research On This Topic. Overall, This Research Study emphasizes The Urgent Need For A GIS-Based Street Addressing System In Adama City.
