| dc.description.abstract | A mathematical model is proposed and analyzed to study the dynamics of system of two prey and one predator in which the predator shows a Holling type II functional response to one prey and a ratio-dependent response to the other prey where harvesting of each prey species is taken into consideration. The model is used to study the ecological dynamics of the Fox-AntelopeRabbit in a given habitat. We also study the effect of harvesting on prey species.Local and global stability analyses of the system were carried out. Results of analysis of the model showed that the three species would co-exist if the Antelope and Rabbit were not harvested beyond their intrinsic growth rate. | en_US |
