A comprehensive literature review was carried out to identify specifically concerned not only challenge factors and their impact severity on performance but also performance of construction material supply chain and building projects improving options. To achieve the intended objectives mixed design method is used. Thus, 68 questionnaires were distributed to engineers working in ECWC and Addis Ababa housing development center, contractors and sub-contractors. Relative importance index (RII) and Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient of concordance analysis techniques were applied by using MS Excel and SPSS V-26. Analysis result has revealed that the top five main factor affecting the performance of CMSC in BCS are stemmed: planning, management, finance, supplier, and storage and handling clusters are identified as critical factors. On other hand, the supplier and the contractor sides are the first and the second main factor affecting the performance of MSC in BCS respectively.
