Abstract
Adama City Administration started implementation of Business Processing Re-engineering (BPR) to improve public satisfaction on service since 2008. Consequently, this research evaluated success of BPR and contributions of dimensions; effective change management style, management commitment, organizational structure, use of ICT infrastructure and continuous performance evaluation have in the success of BPR. Using both quantitative and qualitative techniques descriptive research is designed. Questionnaires distributed to 144 respondents selected from four offices by stratified random sampling. To analyze data descriptive statistics and inferential multiple regression model was used. This study finding revealed that, overall offices average BPR success level is 56%. Furthermore, Organizational Structure, management commitment, change management style, using ICT as enabler and continuous performance evaluation are respectively among influencing factors in descending order which can affect for 60.8% of variance in BPR success. From this it is recommended that all concerned parties have to their unlimited commitments that maximize organizational performance and customers’ satisfaction. Further they have to give due attentions on these dimensions accordingly that ensure likelihood of BPPR to success and to attain goal of BPR implementation.
