An Evaluation Of The Success Factors Influencing Communication Management Systems In Ethiopia's Construction Industry From A Contractor Perspective

Abstract

Ethiopia???S Construction Sector Plays A Vital Role In The Country's Economic Growth But Faces Significant Challenges In Communication Among Stakeholders. These Challenges Often Lead To Inefficiencies And Project Delays This Study Specifically Focuses On Grade One Contractors In Addis Ababa To Explore The Key Factors That Influence Effective Communication Management Systems In Ethiopia's Construction Industry. Using Structured Surveys, We Gathered Quantitative Data From 49 Respondents. The Study Combined This Primary Data With Insights From Existing Literature. The Surveys Focused On The Main Determinants Of Effective Communication, Their Impacts, And The Challenges Encountered. We Analyzed The Data Using The R-Cram Software Tool. Our Findings Highlight Several Crucial Factors For Effective Communication, Including Clearly Defined Roles, Regular Meetings, And Strong Project Leadership, With Average Importance Ratings Of 3.47, 3.33, And 3.27, Respectively. Most Participants Agreed That Using Modern Communication Tools, Ensuring Proper Resource Allocation, And Maintaining Continuous Feedback Mechanisms Can Significantly Enhance Stakeholder Satisfaction, Project Efficiency, And Overall Industry Performance. In Conclusion, Tackling These Key Factors Can Greatly Improve The Effectiveness Of Communication Management Systems In Ethiopia's Construction Industry.
