Abstract
As The Development Of The National Economy Increasing, The Needs Of Electric Power Become Increasing Day To Day. The Stability And Reliability Of Power System Is One Of The Important National Economic Securities. So That Reliability Of Generator Excitation System Is One Of The Important Elements To Improve The Stability Of The Power System. The Demands Towards The Generator?�?S Excitation Control System Have Been Constantly Increasing, Due To The Complexity Of The Electric Power System. It Is A Trend Of Development That The Integration Of The Intelligent Control Theory And Synchronous Generator Excitation Control Can Achieve A Better Effective Control. Conventional Control Methods Like, PID Cannot Meet The Requirements Of The Increasingly Complex Power System Due To Some Defects. The First Step Of Controls System Analysis And Design Is The Mathematical Modeling Of The System. The Work Discussed In This Thesis Has Used Transfer Function Method To Develop Mathematical Model Of Generator Exciting For Stability Analysis, State Space Model With Linear Differential Equations Is Used For System Description. In The Next Step, In This Thesis It Is Developed The Actual Mathematical And Simulink Models To Check The Controllability Input Voltage Of Excitation System. From This Thesis It Was Obtained That, FLC Controller Model Gave Shorter Settling Time And Almost Negligible Overshoot After Specific Load Variation (Perturbation) When We Compared With The Conventional PID Controller. Fuzzy Logic Controller Has Many Advantages. Simple In Structure, It Is Relatively Easy To Be Realized And Mathematical Model Of The Controlled System Is Not Required. So This Makes FLC Better To Use. This Thesis Is Focused Only On Generator?�?S Excitation Control Using FLC Comparing With The Output Result Of PID Controller. The Result Of The Output Of FLC Iscontrol Comparing With AVR Control Only And With Addition Of PID Control And Recommend On The Result Using MATLAB2020a Software That We Analyze The Curve.
