Abstract
Fossil Fuels Supply The Majority Of World Energy Demand And The Majority Of Fossil Fuels Is Consumed By Vehicles. As A Result Of This, The World??S Oil Reservoirs Are Heavily Exploited. Besides, Emission From Combustion Of Fossil Fuels Is Highly Polluting The Environment. Hybrid Electric Vehicles Are A Breakthrough To Minimize These Problems. Four Wheeled Bajaj Qute Is Becoming A Popular And Common Means Of Short Distance Transport In Ethiopia. Qute Uses A Conventional Petrol Engine For Propulsion. As A Result, It Is Polluting The Environment. Therefore, It Is Good To Change This Vehicle To Its Equivalent Hybrid Electric One. In This Thesis, The Strength Of The Existing Bajaj Qute Chassis Was Analyzed And A New Space-Frame Chassis Was Designed For A Hybrid Electric Bajaj Qute Which Is Equivalent To The Existing Vehicle In Performance. This Was Done By Using Catia V5 For 3d Modeling And Ansys 16.0 For Finite Element Analysis. With The New Model, Better Performance Under The Static Loading, Side Impact, Rear Impact, Front Rollover And Side Rolloverhasbeenachieved
