dc.description.abstractThe Macpherson Strut Suspension System, Despite Its Widespread Use In The Automotive Industry, Has Been Shown To Have Issues With Wheel Alignment. Lower Control Arm Of This Suspension Is Prone To Damage Affecting Camber, Caster, And Toe. This Can Lead To Uneven Tire Wear, Reduced Handling, And Increased Fuel Consumption. To Address This, A Kinematic Analysis Of The Mpsss Was Conducted Using Adams Car Software To Identify The Wheel Alignment Parameters, Followed By Optimization Of These Parameters To Reduce The Effect Of Wheel Alignment Using Design Expert Software. The Analysis Focused On A Toyota Corolla 2022Model And Identified Camber, Toe, Kingpin Inclination, And Caster Angles As Key Factors Affecting Wheel Alignment. The Optimization Aimed To Improve These Parameters Through Adjustments To The Front, Lower, And Rear Control Arms. Accordingly, For The Current Model, Minimum And Maximum Camber Angles Are -1.09?? And 2.07??, Minimum And Maximum Caster Angles Are -2.4??And 1.6??, Minimum And Maximum Kingpin Inclination Angles Are 3.09?? And 5.0??, And Minimum And Maximum Toe Angles Are -3.09?? And 2.25?? Were Obtained Through Kinematic Analysis. Then, By Changing The Z Positions Of Front Control Arm, Rear Control Arm, And Outer Control Arm From-50, -100, And -75 To -50.9, -89.69, And -77.36, Respectively, The Optimized Model Was Able To Reduce 24.17%, 23.75%, 7.44%, 4.21%, 2.4%, 1.33%, And 1% Of The Minimum Caster, Maximum Caster, Minimum Toe, Minimum Kingpin, Maximum Camber, Maximum Toe, Maximum Kingpin Angles, Respectively. Hence, For The Optimized Model, Minimum And Maximum Optimized Camber Angles Are -1.27?? And 2.02??, Minimum And Maximum Optimized Caster Angles Are -1.82?? And 1.22??, Minimum And Maximum Optimized Kingpin Inclination Angles Are 2.96?? And 4.95??, And Minimum And Maximum Optimized Toe Angles Are -2.86?? And2.22?? Were Obtained. Therefore, By Changing The Z Positions Of Front Control Arm, Rear ControlArm, And Outer Control Arm Wheel Alignment Can Be Reduced.en_US
