Abstract

Negative Impacts From The Dominant Use Of Petroleum-Based Transportation Have Propelled The Globe Towards Electrified Transportation. With This Thrust, Many Technological Challenges Are Being Encountered And Addressed, One Of Which Is The Development And Availability Of Fast Charging Technologies. To Compete With Petroleum-Based Transportation, Electric Vehicle (Ev) Battery Charging Times Need To Decrease To The 5??10 Min Range. Fast Battery Charging System Plays Significant Role In The Transportation System. The Charging System Converts The Engine??S Mechanical Energy Into Electrical Energy. This Electrical Energy Is Used To Maintain The Battery??S State Of Charge And To Operate The Loads Of The Automotive Electrical System. The Objective Of This Study Is To Modify Fast Battery Charging System By Adding Dc Motor Without Crankshaft Moving. It Is Well Known That When Vehicle??S Battery Runs Down Most Of The Time Starting Of The Vehicle Is Done By Using Human Power, I.E.,Pushing The Vehicle Or Using Manual Starting System Which Was Mostly Applied To Trucks (Old Model). This Trend Of Starting A Vehicle Has Many Drawbacks, I.E. Breakage Of Engaged Gear Teeth, Clutch Disk Distortion, Excessive Torsional Loads On Rotating Parts Of Transmission And Engine, The Researcher Targeted To Solve Such Crucial Problems That Has Intended To Design And Develop A Compact And Easily Portable Battery Charger Which Is Aimed For Fast Battery Charging System By Adding Dc Motor. The Methods Followed Were Used Different Sources Of Data Such As Related Literatures, Reports, Automotive Electrical Workshops, And Research Documents. And Also, The Result Showed That, 0.075volt Were Produced At Every 0.5min.Duration Of Recharging Time And Concluded That, Many Studies On Fast Charging Protocols Have Been Of Empirical Or Experimental Nature, And Therefore Their Performance Has Only Been Assessed For A Limited Range Of Cell Chemistries, Form Factors, And Operating Conditions.
