dc.description.abstractIn Today???S World, Where The Need For Construction Projects Is Increasing From Time To Time, Especially In Developing Countries Such As Ethiopia; Sustainability Issues And Principles Were Not Exercised By Construction Professionals During The Material Selection Process. At The Initial Stage, The Designer Considers Materials His/her Is Familiar With Which Is Tradi-Tional. This Method Of Material Selection Often Struggle To Adequately Account For The Com-Plexity And Uncertainty Inherent In Sustainability Assessments. This Research Explores The Application Of Fuzzy Logic Techniques To Address These Challenges And Enhance The Decision-Making Process In Selecting Sustainable Construction Materials. The Aim Of The Study Is To Evaluate The Practice Of Scm Selection, Identify Scm Selection Key Indicators And Develop Sbm Selection Conceptual Framework. The Study Used Purposive Sampling Technique And Source Of Data Was Both Primary And Secondary. The Collected Data Through Literature Analysis, Expert Perspectives, And A Questionnaire Survey Of Professionals And Construction Industry Experts Has Been Coded And Analyzed Using Fuzzy Logic Techniques To Identify The Key Sustainability Indicators And Conceptual Framework Model Has Been Developed To Opti-Mize The Selection Of Sustainable Construction Materials. For This Purpose, 30 Indicators From The Three Dimensions (Environmental, Social, And Economic) Identified From The Litera-Ture Were Presented To The Respondents In A Structured Questionnaire, And Responses Were Collected And Analyzed Statically. According To The Result Of Study The Scm Selection Awareness And Practice Is Good To Moderate. The Study Identified Four Key EnvironmentalIndicators For Measuring Sustainable Construction Materials, And These Indicators Are Envi-Ronmental Pollution, Climate Change, Eco Toxicity, And Raw Material Extraction. Further-More, Health And Safety, Use Of Local Materials, Adaptability And Availability, And Compati-Bility With Social Identity Were Identified As The Four Key Social Indicators For Sustainable Construction Materials. In Addition, Initial Cost, Operational Cost, Maintenance Cost, And Investment Cost Were Found To Be The Four Key Economic Indicators For Measuring Su s aina-Ble Construction Materials. Finally The Options Of Structural Building System Are AnalyzedBy Fuzzy Logic Techniques And Ranked From Best To List As: Light Steel Frame (Lsf), Prefabri-Cated Reinforced Concrete (Prc), Insulation Concrete Framework (Icf) And Tranco System(Trc) Accordingly.
