Abstract

Most of the researches in knowledge management focus on the expansion of knowledge management systems, managing how knowledge is accessible and transferred. There are only a small number of studies on knowledge management, mainly knowledge transfer, in the different domain area such as business environment, agriculture, disaster management, university and industry. Hence, there is a need to further develop an appropriate understanding of knowledge transfer framework for health area and specifically for disease prevention and control. The objective of the research is to design a framework for knowledge transfer about HIV/AIDS to enhance the prevention and control disease services among University students specifically in Hawassa University. To achieve this end, design –oriented research methodology is used. As a data collection and analysis techniques, qualitative method is used. The study has two knowledge contribution, the first one is the proposed knowledge transfer framework that developed by integration different factors with knowledge transfer process in health sectors specifically for disease prevention and control service. The second is the mobile base application developed for practitioner to facilitate their work by taking HIV/AIDS knowledge transfer. Finally based on the designed framework the study demonstrate to show how the designed framework work and evaluated by end user.
