Abstract

Agricultural Mechanization Deals With The Design, Utilization And Management Of Technical Systems And Processes Of Engineering For The Production, Storage, Treatment, And Processing Of Agricultural Goods. In Ethiopia, Agricultural Mechanization Is Being Encouraged To Boost Agricultural Production. However, Different Types Of Machines Dropped And Many Of Them Became Scrap. Some Of The Machineries Are Failing Frequently. Based On These Problems The Study Aimed To Investigate Utilization, Effectiveness, Constraints, Opportunities And Status Of Four-Wheel Small Capacity Tractors In Oromia Region Specifically In Oda Bultuum, Mi??Essoo And Ada??A Districts Was Worked. The Structured Questionnaires Were Addressed To 352 Respondents Of Non-Users And 45 Respondents Of Four-Wheel Small Capacity Owners. Both Purposive And Random Sampling Techniques Were Employed Which Are Dis Aggregated Based On Education Level, Agricultural Ecology, Soil Type And Way Of Life Existence. Data Collection Methods Included Structured Interviews, Focus Group Discussions, Structured Questionnaires And Field Tests. Spss And Excel Software Packages Were Used To Analysis The Collected Data To Useful Information. Comparison Were Made In Utilization And Status Of Machineries On The Bases Of District. The Findings Showed That Machinery Status, Utilization Of Targeted Tractors, Trainings Given And Operating Skills Are More Effectively Implemented In Ada??A District Than The Two Districts. The Result Indicates Durability Of Tractors Are More Related With The Closer Availability Of Facilities For Machinery Management Service. (61.5%) Of The Operators In Ada??A District Are Good In Operating The Machineries And (38.5%) Have Gotten Trainings In Operation And Maintenance Services. There Was A Significant
