Abstract

The general objective of this study was to assess factors affecting organizational commitment in Ambo mineral water factory. To achieve the objective of this research mixed method research were employed. Data were collected from 237respondents using questionnaire who had been selected using stratified random sampling technique. Group Interview were employed for employees came from diffirent work catagories;focus group discusion were employed for those respondents selected on purposive basis.Collected data were analyzed by Pearson Correlation Analysis for quantitative phase and data gathered by interview and focus group discussion were analyzed by text of respondants given in word. The result of the study shows, employees educational level (=.471**, p<.002), employees work experience (r=.242*, p<.072), incentives given for an employees (r =.459**, p<.003), were posatively affect Organizational Commitment. On the other hand the salary of workers ( r =.317,p<.017) and Age of the employers had insignificant impact on Organizational Commitment at study site (r = -.186, p<.124). This study made recommendation for this research; necessary benefit should be given for the employers; the manager should use different techniques to increase the duration of employers stay in the organization.
