Abstract
Significant Changes In The Global Ecosystem, Combined With The Possibility Of An Oil Supply Shortage, Have Sparked A Flurry Of Curiosity About The Creation Of New Energy Sources, Particularly Petroleum-Based Fuels, Which Are Generally Thought To Be More Harmful To Human Health Than Alternative Fuels. Fossil Fuel Supplies Are Decreasing, And Their Prices Are Rising On A Daily Basis, Badly Impacting The Economies Of Emerging Countries That Rely On Petroleum Imports. This Work Is Aiming To Investigate The Performance And Exhaust Emissions Of Si Engines Running By E15% Gasoline Dual Fuel With Lpg. The Investigations Have Been Concentrated On Finding The Optimized Mixture Of Gasoline, Ethanol, And Lpg. Ansys Workbench 16 Software Was Adopted To Model And Analysis Of Venture Type Gas Mixer. The Mixer Produces Lower Pressure To Create A Vacuum At The Throat, Which Is Utilized To Readily Suck Gas Fuel, And Higher Velocity At The Mixer Throat Improves The Mixing Of Air And Lpg Gas Fuel. For The Experimental Investigation, The Si Engine With Compression Ratio 8.2:1 Is Tested Using Neat Gasoline, E15%Gasoline And E15% Dual-Fueled With Lpg At (2, 3, 4) Lpm By Varying Engine Load 0- 100%. It Was Observed That Ethanol Addition To Gasoline Makes The Engine Operation Leaner And Improves Engine Combustion, Performance, And Exhaust Emission. The Ethanol Content In Fuel Blends Decreases Bthe By 19.23% And Increases Bsfc By 2.27% Compared With Pure Gasoline. Carbon Monoxide And Hydrocarbon Emissions Were Also Decreased By 4.16% And 1.44%Respectively. Co2 And Nox Were Increased By 8.69% And 4.65. In A Dual Fuel Mode, The Addition Of Lpg Fuel Through A Venturi Gas Mixer At The Engine's Air Inlet Also Ensures Sufficient Oxygen Molecule For Complete Carbon Combustion For Efficient Thermal Conversion, Which Raises The Engine's Thermal Efficiency. Lpg At 3lpm Show Lower Of Bthe By 11.05% And Shows Higher OfBsfc By 6.81%. Because Of Lpg Higher Cylinder Gas Temperature, Co And Hc Also Reduced By20.83% And 4.78% Respectively.
