The Rapid Urbanization And Population Growth In Developing Countries, Such As Ethiopia, Have Created A Press Need For Affordable And Sustainable Housing Solutions. Traditional Construction Methods Have Struggled To Keep Up With The Increasing Demand Efficiently And Cost-Effectively. This Situation Has Prompted A Closer Look At Mass Modular Construction As A Viable Alternative For Countries Like Ethiopia. This Study Delves Into The Drivers, Challenges, And Enabling Strategies That Influence The Successful Implementation Of Mass Modular Construction, Particularly In Addis Ababa. To Gain Insights, A Systematic Review Of Existing Literature Was Conducted To Pinpoint The Key Factors Influencing The Implementation Of Mass Modular Construction. Employing A Fuzzy-Based Questionnaire Within A Descriptive Research Framework Allowed For A Comprehensive Consideration Of Uncertainties In Respondents' Perspectives. The Research Methodology Further Involved The Use Of A Stratified Random Sampling Technique To Gather Data From A Diverse Pool Of Participants, Which Was Subsequently Meticulously Analyzed Using A Fuzzy Technique For Order Preference By Similarity To Ideal Situation Approach To Unearth The Drivers, Hurdles, And Enablers Crucial For The Successful Execution Of Mass Modular Construction. The Study Outcomes Revealed Critical Drivers For Embracing Mass Modular Construction, Including Aspects Such As The Optimized Land Use, Standardization Protocols, Operational Efficiencies, Effective Waste Management And Good Management Enhancement. Addressing Challenges Like Regulatory Gaps, The Lack Of Technology Assessment Institutions, Insufficiencies In Educational Programs, Shortages Of Qualified Contractors, And Inadequacies In Workforce Skills Emerges As Pivotal In Ensuring A Smooth Implementation Process. The Research Also Identified Enabling Strategies That Encompass Activities Like Awareness Campaigns, Fostering Collaborative Resource-Sharing, Education Enhancement Initiatives, The Adoption Of Holistic Approaches, And The Promotion Of A Conducive Environment Within The Construction Sector. By Offering A Systematic Evaluation Of Paramount Factors Associated With Mass Modular Construction, Prioritizing Key Areas, And Proposing Concrete Strategies To Combat Challenges, This Research Aims To Guide And Facilitate The Successful Execution Of Mass Modular Construction Projects Not Only In Addis Ababa But Also In Similar Urban Landscapes.en_US
