Abstract

The Fabrication Of Aluminium Alloy Products Through The Hot Extrusion Process Has Been A Forwarding And Promising Method For Most Manufacturing Industries. In The Extrusion Process, Process Enhancement Has Been Taken Care Of To Improve The Productivity Of The Multi-Hole Extrusion Process. Since The Improper Selection Of Process Parameters Leads To Poor Quality And Yield, An Attempt Was Made To Simulate Hot Direct Extrusion Of Aa6063 Alloy Using Deform-3d, The Optimal Process Parameters Were Selected Through Taguchi-Based Grey Relational Analysis With A Multi-Response Optimization Technique. And The Results Were Analysed Using Anova To Check The Significance Of Process Parameters. The Experimental Works Also Conducted To Investigate The Validation Of Simulation Results And Extrusion Behaviour Of Aa6063 Aluminium Alloy Rods Under Heating Conditions I.E. 400 To 500??C By Using Multi-Hole Extrusion Dies. For The Experimentation, Ram, Container And Multi-Holes Dies Were Designed And Fabricated As Per The Standard Specifications. The Results Showed That The Order Of Significance Was The Number Of Holes, Extrusion Temperature And Ram Speed, At 4-Number Of Holes,7mm/S Ram Speed, And 500??C Extrusion Temperature The Optimum Multi-Hole Extrusion Process Enhancements Have Been Obtained. The Experimental Results Show That Microstructural Damage On Extrudates And Ram Force For Multi-Hole Extrusion Is Improved Through The Multi Hole Extrusion Of Aa6063 Aluminium Alloy. Therefore, The Manufacturing Firms Or Any Industries That Intend To Work In The Extrusion Of Aluminium Material Will Enhance Their Productivity And Product Quality By Using A Multi-Hole Extrusion Process With The Implementation Of Fem And Doe Methods.
