Abstract

Security Of The Energy Supply And Global Warming Have Recently Posed Challenges To All Nations In Terms Of Environmental Damage And The Global Economy. One Of The Main Contributors To Human-Caused Greenhouse Gas Emissions And Fossil Fuel Usage Is Transportation. Due To Co2 Emissions, Air Pollution From Automobiles Contribute To Concerns Including Adverse Effects On Human Health And Worldwide Environmental Challenges Like Climate Change. Therefore, The Idea Of Future Transportation Should Be Focused On The Usage Of Electric Vehicles That Use Alternative Renewable Energy Sources And Emit No Emissions Or Pollutants. Since The Globe Currently Agrees To Use Solar Energy Widely In Many Energy Applications Due To Its Abundance, Solar Energy Is Favored For An Electric Vehicle. The Goal Of This Research Was To Develop A Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic System That Could Power A "Mahindra Treo Electric Vehicle". Data Gathered From Nasa, Pvgis, And The Ethiopian Metrology Agency. The Sun Produces An Average Daily Solar Radiation Of 5.57 Kwh/M2/Day. This Study Used A Variety Of Data Sources, Including The Ethiopian Metrology Agency, Nasa, Pvgis, And Calculation. Solar Photovoltaic Module-Equipped Roof. According To The Findings, A 4 M2Solar Roof May Generate At Least 0.6 Kw And Up To 1.1 Kw Of Electricity Each Day, Resulting In A Significant Annual Savings Of Grid Energy. The Analysis's Findings Indicated That An Off-Grid Solar Pv Array With A Surface Area Of 4 M2, A Battery With A Capacity Of 80 Ah At 12 V, A Controller With A Capacity Of 80 A At 120 V, And An Inverter With A Capacity Of 3 Kw Were Needed To Meet The Need For Charging An Electric Vehicle. The Thesis Attempted To Increase The System's Stability And Efficiency In Order To Provide Greener Answers To The World's Energy Demands.
