Abstract
Green Spaces Are Essential Components Of Urban Environments, Providing Numerous Benefits To Residents. However, Their Accessibility And Distribution Are Often Unequal, Leading To Inequitable Access To These Benefits. Hence, The Objective Of The Study Is To Assess The Accessibility And Distribution Of Green Space In Gelan Town. The Study Used Arcgis10.5 To Analysis The Accessibility And Distribution Of Green Space In Gelan Town From Town structural Plan; And Also Used Aerial Image And Site Visit To See The Current Condition Of The Green Space. Using These Methods The Accessibility Problem And Distribution Problem Is Detected. In Addition To Accessibility And Distribution Problem, The ?Existing Green Areas Areso Little And Have Low Quality. As Have Seen By Site Visit Some Sites Detected Do Not Even Been Planted Plant And It Is Difficult To Say It Is Green Space. There Is No Amenity; So There Should Enough Green Space And The Existing Green Space Should Be Clean, Amenity Should Be Included And Should Be Developed To Serve The Residents. If It Is Not Developed And Clean, It Will Be Harmful Site Than Recreation Area, It Will Cause Health Problem Than Health Benefit. So The Green Area Should Be Fairly Distributed Within The City And Residents Should Get Quality Green Space Within 500m As It Is Recommended By Our Urban Green Space Standard Manuals And Guide Lines.
