Abstract
Automobile Manufacturers Have A Challenging Task Since Car Accidents Scare Survivors And Complicate Their Socioeconomic Circumstances. The Energy Absorption Capacity Of The Restraint System Is Directly Correlated With The Severity Of Collisions. The Rear Car Bumper Is The Most Prevalent Of The Restraint System's Components. But Bumper Is Designed To Reduce Physical Damage To The Vehicle's Structure By Crushing Or Collapsing To Absorb Low Energy Collision Energy. The Objective Of This Research Is To Concentrate On The Modeling And Numerical Analysis Of Popular Light-Duty Vehicles?? Rear-Ends Systems With Airbag Mounting In Place Of Bumper. The Methodology Used In This Research Included The Creation Of A 3dModel Using Ansys Space Claim And Numerical Analysis Using Ansys Ls Dyna. It Also Included The Size Determination Of The Rear Air Bag System Based On The Impactor Vehicle's Frontal End Height And Bumper Width Paralleled With The Impacted Car's Rear End. A Failure Theory, Such As Bursting And Internal Energy, Is Used To Calculate The Thickness And Size Of The Air Bag In The Early Stages Of The Research. An Air Bag Made Of Nylon 66 Is Applied To The Rear Impactor While A Car Is Driving At Its Top Speed, Moderate And Minimum. The Research Focuses On The Analysis Of Impact Strength, Deformation, Absorption Of Energy, And Dynamic Conditions. The Investigation Of An Automobile With And Without An Airbag Yielded The Following Results: The Weighted Averages Of Deformation, Stress, And Internal Energy Are72.5mm And 34.59 Mm, 555.24 Mpa And 443.08 Mpa, And 0.835 Mj And 2.458 Mj, Respectively. Finally, This Shows That A Car With Airbags Reduces Deformation By 52%,Reduces Stress By 20%, And Absorbs Energy 194% Better Than A Normal System. Here, The Airbag-Based Rear Beam Lessens Stress And Deformation, Which Is Subject To The Greatest Strain At Greater Speeds As Well As Increases The Quality Of Energy Absorption On The Front Car. The Air Bag-Based Rear Automotive System Therefore Improves Crashworthiness By Reducing Deformation, Stress, And Raising Internal Energy With Speed. Therefore As A Result Of Minimizing Deformation, Stress And Boosting Internal Energy With Speed, The Air Bag Based Rear Automobile System Enhances The Crash Worthiness. There For It Is Recommended To Use Air Bag As Crash Safety Protection Device In Place Of Conventional Bumper
