Expansive Soils Are One Of Problematic Soil For Foundation Especially For Light Weight Structure In Due To High Compressibility And Low Bearing Capacity In The Fluctuation Of Saturation Level. Because Of The Increasing Cost And Environmental Effect Of Traditional Methods, Such As Cut And Replace With Select Material, Gypsum, Fly Ash, Lime, And Cement Stabilization, New Additives Are Required That Have A Promising Effect And Preserve The Environment. Utilization Of Waste Like Stone Quarry Dust And Agricultural Byproduct Of Tsf Is An Alternative Mechanism To Improve Properties Of Expansive Soil And Protect Environmental Pollution And Health And Reduce Construction Costs.? The Objectives Of The Thesis Are Improving The Engineering Behavior Of Expansive Soil By Adding Stone Quarry Dust (10%, 15%, 20%, And 25%) And Teff Straw Fiber (0.4%, 0.6%, And 0.8%) By Dry Mass Of Soil. The Laboratory Tests Conducted Were As Sieve, Specific Gravity, Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit, Compaction, Cbr, Free Swell, Ucs And Xrd. Inclusion Of Sqw And Tsf Significantly Improves Liquid Limit, Plasticity Index, Dry Density, Crb, Free Swell, Ucs And Enhances The Crystalline Content Of The Soil Mixture, Possibly Contributing To Improved Structural Stability And Reduced Plasticity. The Highest Quartz Peak Intensity And Suppressed Clay Signals Indicate The Best Mineralogical Improvement, Which Was Achieved With 20% Sqw.? In This Thesis Work, The Promising Results Were Attained At 20%Sqw +0.6% Tsf For Most Tests. Therefore, 20%Sqw +0.6% Tsf Is Considered As The Optimum Percentage, Which Is Achieved By Improving Most Of The Geotechnical Properties Of Expansive Soils.en_US
