| dc.description.abstract | Plastic Wastes Are The Most Environment Polluting Wastes And Mainly End Up On Landfill Sites Where They Take Around 1000 Years To Photo Degrade. They Break Down Into Tiny Toxic Particles That Contaminate The Soil And Water Ways And Enter The Food Chain When Animals Accidentally Ingest Them. Plastic Wastes Like Plastic Carrier Bags Carrying Advertising Logos, Pack In Bags And A Variety Of Other Forms Are All Polluting Our Environment. Just When Take A Look Around As Plastic Bags Can Be Seen Hanging From The Branches Of Trees, Flying In The Air On Windy Days, Settled Amongst Bushes And Floating On Rivers. They Block Gutters And Drains Causing Water And Sewage To Overflow And Become The Breeding Grounds Of Germs And Bacteria That Cause Disease, So Plastic Waste Conversion To Use Full Product Is One Of The Current A Major Environmental Concerns In Our Country. The Main Aim Of This Research Is To Prepare And Study Sand-Ldpe Waste Plastic Composite As An Alternative Building Material To Reduce The Ldpe Plastic Waste That Cause Environmental Pollution. In This Research First Manually Operated Compression Molding Machine Was Designed Using Catia V5 Software And Manufactured. Then Sand Reinforced Waste Plastic Composites (Spc) Containing Different Concentration Of Plastic (Ldpe) With Respect To The Mass Of Sand Was Prepared By Melt Blending And Compression Molding. The Plastic Waste Was Mixed With Sand At Three Mass Percent Of 50%, 55%, And 60% For The Experiments. Then, Different Mechanical And Physical Properties Were Evaluated Including Compressive Strength, Density And Water Absorption. The Obtained Results Indicated That The Mechanical Properties Of The Sand-Ldpe Composite Brick With 50 % Plastic Was Higher Than The Other Mass Ratios Of Plastic. The Compression Strength Of 50% Sand-Ldpe Brick Was Increased By 34.2 % (1.2n/Mm2) As Compared To Minimum Requirement Of Standard Cement Brick, And Has Density Of 1.12 G/Cm3 Which Confirm With Desirable Limit Of A Hollow Cement Brick, And Also Water Absorption Is Decreased As Percent Of The Ldpe Content Increases Compared To Conventional Cement Brick. Therefore, The Paper Was Concluded That The Manufactured 50% And 55% By Mass Plastic Composite Brick Is Applicable In Civil Engineering Applications As Alternative Building Material For Construction Of Partitions, Fence, Panel Walks, Parapet, And Balcony Railings And, As A Result Large Mass Percent Of Waste Plastic Is Removed From Environment With Manufacturing Of 50% To 55% Sand-Ldpe Composite Brick. | en_US |
