Daylight In Classrooms Is The Most Important For Indoor Environmental Comfort When Designing school Building, In Terms Of Its Impact On Student??S Visual Comfort. Visual Comfort At Class room shas Often Been Considered In Terms Of Task Visibility And Discomfort Glare. Besides Visual Effects,The Lighting Environment Has Also Impact On Human Non Visual Effect. ??The Light Quality Of indoor Environment Also Plays A Significant Role In Regulating Non??Image Forming (NIF)Functions?? Such As Circadian Rhythms, Which Contain Human Psychology Like Alertness, Well??Being And Mood. The Main Focus Of This Study Is About The Relation Of Student Visual Comfort And level Of Daylighting In Adama Elementary Schools Classrooms. There Wasn??T Any Study Done In adama, Ethiopia On The Daylight Level Assessment In School Compound. In This Study, Day light is Being Measured And Analyzed To Determine Its Level Of Distribution And Functionality In The indoor Classroom Spaces Then Compared With Student Perception Towards Visual Comfort. Luxmeter Was Used To Measure Daylight Level At The Task Area Then Simulate The Data By Using Ecotect software. The Student Perception Data Was Analyzed Using MS Excel Charts And Graphs. There sult Of The Analysis Had Shown Classes With A Deficiency Of Day Light. Up To 76.6% Of The working Planes Get Daylight Less Than 200 Lux Which Is Not Enough For Teaching And Learning process. Although Some Classrooms (68.7%) Get Daylight Greater Than 500 Lux, It Is Not comfortable For Different Tasks In The Classroom. Maximizing Or Minimizing Window Size, Using different Shading Devices Which Consider The Orientation And By Improving Surface Reflectancewhich Avoids Glare Are Some Of The Remedies Suggested For Existing Classrooms.en_US
