Abstract

Scissor Type Systems Are Frequently Used As Lifting Systems In The Industry. These Systems Are Mainly Preferred To Do Maintenance, Repair, And Clean. It Is A Portable, Easily Extended And Compressed, Safe Operating Machine Used For Lifting Significant Loads At Required Height Safely And Efficiently. There Are Different Types Of Scissor Lifts, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, And Mechanical Scissor Lift. Hydraulic Scissor Lifts Are The Type Of Lifts Used In Industries, Workshops, Or Maintenance Centers For Purposes Of Lifting A Load Or Providing At Unreachable Heights, And For Vehicle Maintenance. The Hydraulic Scissor Lifts That Existed In Some Automotive Industries Occupy More Space In The Maintenance Shop And Simply Cannot Move From Place To Place For Use And Also Not Comfortable To Load/Unload Vehicles On A Truck Or Use The Crane To Load/Unload The Vehicle On The Truck Is Not Safe And, High Space, Etc. The Main Investigation Of This Project Is, To Design A Hydraulic Scissor Lift That Has A Carrying Capacity To Load Light Duty Vehicles That Have Gvwr Below 3200kg And To Design A Moveable Wheel Mechanism Used To Move The Machine From One Place To Another And AStatic And Dynamic Analysis By Using Finite Element Methods. Depending On The Maximum Load Carrying Allowed And The Maximum Height At Which It Rises, The Type Of Hydraulic Cylinders Have 650mm Stroke And 63mm Cylinder Diameter, Directional Control Valve, Pump The Maximum Working Pressure Of 160 Bar, And 12.5kw Electric Motor Was Selected. Drafting & Drawing Of The Mobile Hydraulic Scissor Type Light Duty Vehicle Loading And Unloading Lift Was Done Using Solid works 2022 With Suitable Modeling And The Analysis Including Total Deformation, Equivalent Stress, And Strain, Was Done In Ansys2022r1 Software. The Maximum Equivalent (Von-Mises) Stress 712.17mpa And 242.94mpaAre Less Than The Maximum Allowable Stress (1287.18mpa). The Result Shows That It Can Resist The Applied Load Safely Or Can Carry Without Failures And Its Safe And The Maximum Total Deformation 62.169mm And 0.40242mm Are At Optimum Range That Is In The Acceptable Range Of Value. Furthermore, Each And Every Part Does Not Beyond Their Yield Stress Values Of The Material. As A Result Of The Analyses, It Was Concluded That The System Designed Could Safely Be Used During Load/Unload Operations. Final Design Of The Mobile Hydraulic Scissor Type Lift Assembly Analysis Results Shows That, It Is Considered Safe To Use Targeted Weight Carrying (3200 Kilograms) Purpose.
