dc.description.abstractAt Present, With The Increase In The Proportion Of The World wide Urban Population, Cities, And Towns Are Becoming Congested That Calls Walking Spaces. Particularly Historical Places And Commercial Areas Need Walk-Able Environments. The Place Hora Har-Sadi Lake Was S To Celebrate The Festival And For Other Activities Like Recreation And Fishing. Irrecha Celebrations Have Been Expanded Both In Content As Well As Geographical And Demographic Representations. The Accident Faced On Irrecha Festival Day, 2nd October 2016; Around The Lake Was A Recent Memory In Which Many People Lose Their Life, Due To Crowdedness. These Situations Initiated The Researcher To Focus On Researching On Assessing Improvements For A Walk-Able Environment In The Study Area. The Main Objective Of The Study Is To Analyze The Current Walk-Able Environment And Provide Mobility, To Hora Har-Sadi Lake. The Research Address Research Questions To Achieve The Objectives Of The Study. To Conduct This Study, Some Of The Articles Were Reviewed On The Topic As A Globe, To Provide A Theoretical Context And Empirical Experience Reviews. The Primary Data Were Collected Using Interviews With Governmental Officials, A Site Survey Using A Prepared Checklist, And Questionnaires; From Tourists And Residents Of Bishoftu Town, As Well As By Site Observation, While Secondary Data Were Collected From Different Published And Unpublished Sources. The Research Was Employing Mixed Research Methodologies Which Integrate Qualitative And Quantitative Approaches. The Major Findings Of The Thesis Were The Study Area Was Not Well Planned, Poor Road Networks, Street Escape Design Problems, And Dead-End Roads, The Walkways Were Not Properly Constructed Considering The Irrecha Festival, The Lake Is Blocked At Different Points Surrounding The Site; Thus Every Person Was Walking Long Distance, Existing Development And Natural Relief Of The Site Need Redevelopment And Design, As Improvements For The Walk-Able Environment To Enhance The Walk-Ability Of The Site. Based On These Findings The Researcher Has Forwarded Detailed Recommendations That Fit The Public Place Context And Encourage The Mobility Of People To The Site. Hence, The Study Proposed Design Solutions For Improvements Of The Walk-Able Environment Around Hora Har-Sadi Lake, To Enhance Mobility, And Alleviate Major Problems And Findings That Discourage The Proper Functioning Of The Study Area. The Major Planning And Design Solutions Forwarded Are Planning To Pedestrian Walkways,Public Open Spaces, Road Networks And Land Use Integrated Into The Planning Area.
