Abstract

Office Spaces Are Where Individuals Spend 7 To 9 Hours Of Their Time Daily, And It Should Be Comfortable Under All Circumstances. Comfortability Or Uncomfortable Work Behavior Of Workplace Have Significant Influence On The Productivity Of Worker And Health Of Employee. Most Offices In Ethiopia Are Built With Similar And Repetitive Envelope; The Similar Office-Building Envelope Can Affects The Thermal And Visual Comfort As Well As Productivity Of Occupants. One Effective Strategy For Creating A Friendly Atmosphere Is Through The Utilization Of Building Envelope. This Study Is Going To Assess The Thermal Comfort Level Of Selected Addis Ababa Office Curtain Wall Glass Facade. The Study Selected Three Different Site With Similar Orientation To Check The Urban Heat Effect And Two Building, Which Have The Same Orientations And Has Different Envelope Treatment For Comparison. Therefore, The Aim Of This Paper Is To Evaluate The Indoor Thermal Quality Of Selected Office Building In Terms Of Room Temperature, Relative Humidity And Solar Radiation. In Either Case, An Important Indoor Quality Factor In Office Buildings Is Measured. The Study Is Based On Field Survey Measurement Of Twenty Sequent Days From April 20 To May 10 Which I Use 10 Days From Both Months In The Warmest Month Of 2024 According To The Questionnaires Done From The Three Site On 56 Respondents. In Order To Achieve The Study's Objective, Using A Questionnaire, Occupant Perception And Indoor Climate Variables (Temperature, Humidity, Daylight Illuminance, And Air Velocity) Were Measured Using Thermal Media. It Includes The Literature Review And Use Of Secondary Data. The Occupants Asked About The Thermal Level, Their Preference Through The Primary Data Collection. The Major Indoor Thermal Comfort Variables Air Temperature And Relative Humidity In Each Case Offices Is Be Measured In These Twenty Days To Compare And Analyze With The Standard Office Operational Temperature. The Data Is Obtained And Analyzed By The Bim And Simulation Software Like Ecotect Or Design Builder, Climate Consultant, Sunearth Tool, Archi Cad, Revit And Excel.
