Parking Has A Direct Impact On Traffic Flow, Accessibility, And Livability Of Cities; It Is An Essential Component Of Urban Mobility. Globalstudies Show That On-Street Parking Reduces Urban Mobility By Decreasing Road Capacity, Slowing Traffic, And Creating Barriers For Both Vehicles And Pedestrians. In Addis Ababa, On-Street Parking Is A Major Cause Of Traffic Congestion, Economic Degradation, And Other negative Impacts, But The Quantitative Relationships Are Not Well Understood. The Study area Is Located In Auto bus Tera, Addis Ababa. The Roads In This Study Area Are Very crowded And Busy Due To The Existence Of High Mobility. The Goals Of This Research Are To identify The Mode Of Transportation Used In The Study Area, To Assess The Impact Of Illegalon-Street Parking Availability On Travel Time, And Quantifying The Relationship Between On-Street Parking Occupancy And Traffic Congestion In Autobus Tera, Addis Ababa. To Meet those Objectives, The Methodologies Of Complete And Real-Time Data Collection, Fieldobservation, Parking Occupancy Survey, And Correlation Analysis Were Implemented. Thestudy Found That 71% Of Vehicles Parked On The Roads Belonged To Shop Owners. This On-Street Parking Significantly Impacted Traffic Flow Near The Autobus Tera, With Average Roadarea Occupancy Decreasing From 22.75% Within 200m To 14.79% At 200-400m And 9.22%At 400-800m As We Go From Autobus Tera To The Four Routes. Consequently, Individuals Lostfrom 762.96 To 2399.32 Birr Per Month Due To Congestion. The Congestion Index Rangedfrom 11.92 (On The Abune Petros To Autobus Tera Route) To 7.62 (On The Kolfe Keranyo Toautobus Tera Route). Therefore, Proper Off-Street Parking, Standardize Parking System,Proper Road Design(Dimension), Development Of Road Traffic Signage, Close Controlling Andmonitoring Of The Transportation Regulations, And Spatial Segregation Of Pedestrian Andvehicle Mobility Should Be Practiced.
