Abstract
In this thesis, We obtained c-number Langevin equations using the pertinent master equation. Making use of the solutions of the resulting c-number Langevin equations, we calculated the anti-normally ordered characteristic function defined in schr˜odinger picture. With the help of this characteristic function, we determined the Q-function for a two-mode parametric oscillator as well as for two-mode V-type three-level laser light. Then the Q-function were used to calculate the photon statistics for cavity modes. Our result showed that the mean photon number of mode a and mode b for the two-mode parametric oscillator light arethesameandaswellasthemeanphotonnumberdifferencesvanishes,themeanphoton numberforthetwo-modeV-typethree-levellaserlightaredifferentexcept η = 0.
Onotherhand,usingtheaforementionedQ-functions,wedeterminedtheQ-functionfor the superposition of the signal-signal and idler-idler modes of parametric oscillator and Vtype three-level laser light beams. Finally, using the resulting signal-signal mode Q-function and idler-idler mode Q-function, we obtained the mean photon number sum and difference and the variance of photon number. The results showed that the mean and variance of the photonnumberforthesuperposedlightwasthesumofthemeanandvarianceofthephoton numberfortheconstituentlights.
