Abstract
Global Warming Is Increasing On Our Earth Due To Major Increase In The Air Pollution. Air Pollution Is The Most Serious Issue From The Public Health Point Of View As An Every Individual Person Breaths About 22,000 Times A Day, Inhaling About 15 To 22 Kg Of Polluted Air Daily Which Cause So Much Health Effects According To Research Done. Further The Air Contamination Contributes Heavily To Pollution Of Our Environment So It Is Very Important That Severe Attempts Should Be Made To Conserve Earth?�?S Atmosphere From Pollution. The Main Contributors To Air Pollution Are Gases Released From External Combustion Engines (Factories) And Internal Combustion Engines (Automobiles) Are Like Carbon Monoxide, Unburned Hydrocarbons Etc. In View Of Addressing This Major Contributor, This Thesis Is Focused On Design Of Hybrid Aqua Silencer That Minimizes Emission Of Polluting Gases. Hybrid Aqua Silencer Is One Of The Attempts Made To Reduce The Air Pollution. The Methods Used Are Design And Fabrication, Experimental Trials And Analysis Of The Results. It Is Fitted To The Exhaust Pipe Of Engine Or System. This System Is Used To Reduce Noise And Control Emission Of Harmful Gases. In Hybrid Aqua Silencer The Main Components Are Perforated Tube Which Consists Of Number Of Different Diameter Holes To Convert High Mass Bubbles To Low Mass Bubbles. Generally There Are Three Sets Of Holes Used On This Perforated Tube. The Charcoal Layer Which Is Pasted Over Perforated Tube Can Control The Emission Using The Activated Charcoal And Highly Porous Extra Free Valences. Lime Water External To Activated Charcoal Layer To Reduce Temperature And Nox Emissions. Also, This Hybrid Aqua Silencer Reduces Noise Emission; Because The Sound Produced Under Water Have Less Amplitude Than The Sound Produced In Open Atmosphere. This Happens Because In Water Molecules There Are Small Notches Which Lowers Amplitude Of Emitted Gases And Lower The Sound Level. So This Layer Is Having High Absorption Capacity. This System Itself Acts As A Silencer And Catalytic Converter. So There Is No Need Of Separate Silencer And Catalytic Converter. This System Is Very Cost Effective And More Economical. It Does Not Give Rise To Any Complications In Assembling It. In General This Study Focuses Deals With Design And Analyze Hybrid Silencer In More Advantageous Form. The Values Of Exhaust Gases Released From The Engine Do Not Completely Mixed To The Atmosphere. After The Study Experiment Has Done Shows The Result Co, Co2, Uhc And O2 Diminished By 21.37%, 2.75% 44.57% And 0.911% Respectively.
