This thesis presents an overview of the acoustic scattering of 3D wave equation and the finite element method for the solution strategies in unbounded domain. First, the mathematical formulation of Exterior Helmholtz equation will be presented and we discretize the solution domain for exterior Helmholtez problem. Then by using finite element methods (FEM) we solve the exterior Helmholtez problem by taking weak formulation and we will compare first and second order absorbing boundary condition.en_US
