Using Bamboo As Roof Truss And Reinforcement Bar In Building Construction

Abstract

Now a day different construction works are constructed by miscellaneous modern and traditional materials the following are most common materials for different construction works those are concrete, stone, metal, wood, cement, aluminums, bamboo, steel, glass, iron, mud, etc. Out of these construction materials this project will attempt to address the problem of house for low income group peoples who live in urban area and also to change the straw house of the farmer in to Low cost modern house by using bamboo as reinforcement bar in concrete and as roof truss . The objective of this project is to minimize the cost and have good quality of house for low and middle level income societies by substituting the steel reinforcement bar and wood roof truss using bamboo reinforcement and bamboo roof truss respectively . In order to determine the physical, mechanical, and cost analysis we are different laboratory tests and secondary data from different literature to assure bamboo substitute steel reinforcement and wood roof truss. This project laboratory test result shows that bamboo used as substitute of steel reinforcement in low cost building. The study also briefs the selection, preparation, placement of Bamboo for reinforcing the concrete and roof truss.
