Abstract
Freight Transport Is Concerned About The Basic Modes Of Transportation That Are Made Available For Freight To Travel From Place To Place. However, Non- Developed, Developing And Developed Countries Around The World Are Facing Overload As A Critical Problem Trucks Are The Most Important National Transport. As The Vehicle Gets Heavier With Over Load It Brings About The Loss Of Lives, Unexpected Maintenance Costs, Destruction Of Pavements And Properties. According To Malaysia Road Transport Statistics, 70% Of Traffic Accidents Are Caused By Trucks Overload. The Motion Of An Overloaded Vehicle Has Consequences That Facilitate The Deterioration Of Roadway. Controlling Overloading Is Fundamental For The Wellbeing Of Vehicle Owners And Government From Unexpected Destruction Of Property And Roads. Due To This Reason, Sensing And Self Controlling Mechanism Is Designed To Avoid Overload. The Materials Used, Sensors To Detect Vehicle Overload, And Then Transmits The Appropriate Data To Micro controller, Which Transmits The Instruction. If The Load On The Truck Is The Same As The Load That The Truck Was Set To Carry, Then The Truck Can Be Operated At Its Normal Operation. If The Load On The Truck Is At Maximum Safe Load Limit, Warning Systems Would Be Activated And Buzzer Provided Audio Signaling Along With Yellow Led Flashing Light Which Informed The Trucks Would Escaping The Safe Load Limit Status And It Was About To Overload. As The Weight On The Truck Exceeded The Set Point Of The Truck Load, The System Would Disable The Fuel Cut-Off Solenoid And No Fuel Would Be Delivered To The Engine. When The Vehicle Was Loaded Beyond Set Point, The System Detected Reference Value Of Strain And Sent A Warning Signal To The Driver. The Most Optimal Strain That Could Be Used As A Reference Strain For This System Would Be 1.7. The Truck Should Not Be Driven Beyond The Reference Strain; Otherwise, The Vehicle Might Lose Control And Became Unstable. Therefore, The Sensing And Self-Controlling Mechanism Reduced The Possibility Of The Trucks Rollover By Stopping Engine And Helped To Maintain Stability Under Different Road Conditions To Minimize Accidents, Properties And Pavement Damage. The Strain Fluctuates From 0.260 To 1.469 While Trucks Decelerating On A Level Road. And Under Dynamic Condition The Strain Ranges From 0.161 To 1.7.Overload Controlling System Would Become Increasingly Important And It Would Be More Secured Than Other Systems To Save Several Things In The Developing Countries, So Once It Would Implemented In All Trucks, It Would Be Possible To Control Trucks Over Loading Using Sensing And Self- Controlling Mechanism.
