These affect the human???s perception regarding the comfort of the place that matters on urban qualification and sustainable life. On the other hand, Adama is one of the developing secondary cities next to Addis Ababa. The growth of the town is challenged with different problems as a characteristic of obsoleted inner-city, which has identified as the main study area including the remaining influential extents in the town. Despite this, the study was employed with different surveying methods such as the interview, questionnaires, and observation. Since, the number of the residents and tourists in the area is unknown, the sample size has determined to be 385 using Cochran???s formula. On the other hand, the experts in related profession were also the leading inputs to execute the study effectively. The analysis of the data is concerned with two broad views; subjective analysis and the physical analysis of the existing situation. After executing the analysis; planning, design, construction, implementation, and management problems including different economic, social, environmental, and political challenges have been obtained as findings that affect the aesthetics of the town. To identify these problematic areas, the principles and dimensions of urban design were used as the basic tools in the existing situation analysis of the built-unbuilt urban space. Supporting with explored theories and the findings using the data sated, a framework for achieving urban aesthetics is proposed targeting the cities to be sustainable and aesthetic in the future.
