Abstract

Cold Forming Processes Are Used Frequently In The Manufacturing Of Bolt. These Processes Are Characterized Often By High Tool Loads Strain With The Consequence Risk Of Tool Failure. Engineer And Researcher Are Attempting To Understand The Process And Optimize The Process. This Is Being Done In An Effort To Establish More Reliable Different Models Of The Process, To Aid In The Selection Of The Most Appropriate Forming Machines, And In The Design Of The Tooling To Be Used On These Machines. This Project Deals With Analysis Of Bolt Forming Process In Hibret Manufacturing And Machine Building Industry (Hmmbi). Cold Working Processes Are Used In The Production Of Bolt And The Bolt Is Produced From 20mnb4 Type Of Steel. Manufacturing Process And Practice Of Production Of Bolt Were Studied And Strength And Weakness Of The Process Was Identified. For The Analysis Of Metal Forming And Die Stresses Analysis Finite Element Code Abaqus Cae/6.10/ Commercial Software Were Used. The Output Result Of Abqus Cae Is Compared With Plain Strain Method And Had Good Agreement With Regard To The Force Required To Forging. To Optimize The Force Require To Extrude The Billet With A Given Reduction Ratio, The Die Opening Angle Are Reduced From 30 0 To 26 0 . The Research Covers Die Geometry Only To Optimize The Die Life But Total Die Structure Better To Be Studded With Support Of Experimental Work To Get More Reliable Result
