| dc.description.abstract | Concerns About Replacing Non-Biodegradable Resources With Biodegradable Resources Have Piqued Scholars' Interest In Recent Decades. Composite Materials Are Natural Resources With Desirable Characteristics Including Low Density, High Specific Strength, Low Cost, High Toughness, Corrosion Resistance, And Environmental Friendliness. The Primary Purpose Of This Study Was To Fabricate And Material Characterization Of Hybrid Chopped Composite Made From Elephant Grass, Bamboo And Glass Reinforced Fiber And Polyester For Automotive Purposes. The Technique Applied Was Referred To As The Hand Layup Technique For The Fabrication Of Composite. Taguchi L9 Orthogonal Array Was Utilized For The Design Of The Experiment. The Specimen Was Prepared According To The Astm Standard For Each Test. The Properties Characterized Ware Tensile Strength, Flexural Strength, Compressive, Hardness, Impact Strength, Water Absorption, Sem Morphological Analysis, Density, And Porosity Of Composite. Optimizations Of Parameters Were Done By Using The Taguchi Method. Data Showed That The Maximum Tensile Strength Of 58.5mpa, Maximum Compressive Strength 69.33 Mpa, Maximum Hardness 154.8hv, Maximum Flexural Strength 253.13mpa And The Highest Impact Strengthwas15.5j. The Results Revealed That Elephant Grass, Bamboo, E-Glass Fiber Content Of (10, 10 And 15) Wt.% Respectively And Polyester Resin With 65 Wt.% Ware Estimated To Be The Optimal Parameters. The Water Absorption Was A Minimum Value Of 0.01432%. ThisShows That The Bonding Between The Matrix And Reinforcement Was Best. The Minimum Values Of Density And Porosity Of Composite Were 1.086g/Cm3And 0.022% Respectively. Porosity Of Was Observed When Sem Morphology Analysis Was Taken. Analysis Of Variance (Anova) Was Conducted To Identify The Significant Factors And Established All The Three Factors As Being Significant. The Amount Of (E-Glass And Bamboo) Fiber Was Found To Be The Most Significant Parameter Which Greatly Affected The Mechanical Properties Of The Hybrid Composites. | en_US |
